It's an exhaust dump, when open your exhaust exits pre muffler, when closed it channels exhaust through your system like stock. Basically a Y-pipe with one end open and one end hooked to your exhaust system.

There's a 4" in the middle of the page I believe. http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog...id=101&sid=561

Oh man, I had one of those on my 87 Grand National. I called it a dump tube. Ok, just has a different name on here. Thanks!

does anyone know where I could find a 4" manually operated (cable/lever) cutout? I wouldn't use it much anyway only when going on long hauls or when hungover. I'm still waiting on my stacks but I'll post a pic of a buddies truck. I'll have the same setup w/ 6" miter cuts instead of turnbacks.

Do you need an additional pipe to dump it out the side of the truck or what?

Im with you townsend 600. Ive been wanting stacks but dont want them that loud all the time. I want to run a cutout followed by a muffler, then back into the stacks. So I can pick how loud it is. Just dont want the price of an electric, since i wont be using it much.
