I went with inline so the turbo situation would never matter and it works great. The guy I got mine from had a 5" and I think he said it didn't build quite as much pressure as a 4" but it still worked good. I wouldn't spend the money if I didn't tow. Craig

I run 4" dia stainless from the turbo back to the stacks and I made my own exhaust brake. I suggest you use the inline version... easier to work on, install and if you ever need to take it out, a short pup will be easy to install there.

I've never had a "in-line" brake so can't advise there but you won't regret having an e-brake if you haul heavy. They're definitely worth the investment.

I put mine at the bottom end of the DP, just ahead of the trans x-member. It will have controls and the initiating circuit that goes thru 2 of the ecm ports to keep it from coming on if there is any throttle signal or the cruise turned on. I got a $6 push/pull switch and put it on the shifter. No throttle sw. is necessary like with an engine brake. Craig

I pieced mine together cuz I already had some of the stuff. Chuck - healdworks.com sold me the inline brake, 4" pipe adaptors and the control kit. I did the rest and saved ~$200 and got a better system. Craig

This is the compressor I got 3 yrs ago and it's way more than I need but I do need more tank capacity when I blow up the bags. 30% should be enough unless you air up tires. Craig http://www.amazon.com/VIAIR-Series-C.../dp/B007XANJ3A

several things, i like the bd brake better than the pac because of where the compressor is mounted. we had to move our pac compressors due to high failure rate. i have in line and exhaust elbow. our 03 has a he351 off of a 05 and elbow the truck in my sig has a hitek 62-65-13 with elbow. mount the switch on the shifter. i forgot to order one and used a toggle switch for temp, i liked it so much i left it on. use it often and get a maxbrake controller. one trip and you will kick yourself for not doing it sooner. the jake is junk and does not work very well. the first switch is from the old jake, i just reused it on the bd.

just my 2cents, but I recently insalled the pac. 2 months ago. Love it, especially in town echoing off the buildings. But, besides that, the only thing about putting it farther down the exhaust pipe, is that it has that much more pipe to back pressure before it will work like you want. How much affect it has on how it performs I don't know but the closer to the turbo the better.
