Exaust tip

Does anyone have a picture of the Megs tip on their truck? How do you like it? I'm thinking of ordering one from Geno's, and it says it extends the exaust about 5". How does it fit, what's the finish like after a year, etc..??

I got one ( the straight version). It does extend out a bit. It chipped up a bit from the gravel roads at my folks place, so I'd say its definitley a "replaceable" item if you drive off the pavement at all. I only had it on for about a month, then I bought the Banks system, and well, the Banks tip makes the MEGS look like a piece of tin foil!

I got the new 5" Stainless version of the Megs tip from Genos. It's definitely not as good of quality as the 4" Megs tip was. I have to polish it about once every 2 months but then it looks good again. Check my gallery....

i bought my 5" tip from the dealer. it is stainless and looks great. i am very happy with it. only thing is the cost $89.00. i think it is worth it. i had the 6" tip from geno's and this one is a lot better quality.

just my $.02

TurboTed,

We have 4 different type of tips that are made from polished T-304 stainless steel. They will not chip like chrome and will bolt on to any 4 inch tail pipe. The 304 will stay polished as long as anything out there, plus they are quite a bit less than what some of the folks posted about!

I got a 5" by 12" stainless tip on ebay. $45. Looks great and helps keep the soot off of the quarters. I have it sticking out about 2" more than the factory one.
