Engine sound

Hey guys i just put my Smarty on the other day and before i had the Predator Puck stack. I still have the puck on with the smarty. Well i was driving it today and it seemed like when i gave it some gas, not full throttle, but the turbo pitch would change from being a little loud than it would soften then get loud again and it would keep doing it. But when i was at a steady speed it would stop and just sound normal. Any ideas on what this could be would be great because i never had this problem before and hope something is not going bad.

Thanks

See if you can do it again and see if your boost fluctuates with the sound. It might be the wastegate.

I just took my truck out and the boost gauge does fluctuate with the sound. This doesnt mean my turbo is going bad does it? Cause on my other truck that i had it had similar problems and ended up needing a new turbo. Really need some help with this!

Nah, that is just the wastegate doing its job. What is the max boost you see?

You dont want over 40lbs on a stock turbo, but if you really want you can get a boost fooler and let the turbo buld as much boost as it can.

Everything sounds fine.

Alright thanks for all your help! Probably will just load up the aftermarket turbo program on the smarty for the boost fooler.
