Today I was pulling my 15000 pound fifth wheel. Was going uphill and ranging boost pressure from 22 to 31. I had only had it at 31 PSI for one or two minutes when my engine light came on. My Edge programmer said the code was an overboost. Have I now fried my Turbo or wastegate?

 

What do you have your boost defueling set at on the programmer? I have seen 40 psi on mine on a hard excell, but no check engine light. I would doubt that it is fried, I would clear the codes and the light and try it again.

 

You've not fried anything. The ECM is supposed to let you know when you have exceeded the design parameters.

What year truck do you have and what mods have you done to the truck?
