So after a year I finally got the courage to drill and tap my manifold (pre turbo) and installed my EGT probe.My truck is 03 bone stock and I rarely hual anything. Just looking on some feedback on what I'm seeing so far.
WOT on straight aways (flat road) can maybe get to about 1000.
Average cruise seeing aroung 900 ish. Little lower usually
Sound right? Was thinking of lowering the probe some but I'm pretty sure it's close to center.
Shut down waiting to see the 300 range.
I will be bombing some after the warranty runs out but want to make sure that this sounds accurate so far.

Sounds right to me except the cruising temps...seem a little high to me. I wouldn't worry about it though. My truck cruises at 600-700 at 70 MPH. I do have an air intake and full 4-inch exhaust though, so that me be helping me a bit. I'm drilled and taped at the same location as you.

I'm sure someone else will chime in.

 

When running stock I cruise around 600-700*. WOT up hill I can see 1200-1300* empty. When towing my 5'r, around 10500 lbs, again stock up a long hill I have seen 1400*. Bump up the power and I see a little increase.

 

Cruisin ill see usually anywhere from 500-750...highest setting on edge and WOT i get 1200ish
