Ya I saw the article actually but it never really said when it would be available did it? I'm jumping ship to this product if it's the real deal like it is for the duramax. Get someone to build a custom tune or two and I'd be set

It has been a long wait but the Cummins EFILive is now available for the 06 and 07 5.9L.
Support is still ramping up, but the software and hardware is now available to the public.
We don't have an accurate time line for the 6.7s but they are next inline followed by the 03 - 05 5.9L.
Please see http://cummins-tuner.com for more details and updates as they are available. Not for my 6.7 yet....

I've tried a few different tunes from ATP and I am impressed. The first tune I tried was their tow tune. SOP power wise seems on the same level as a mid to upper level Revo tune. I was seeing about 37#s of boost and EGTs would not go over 1200 no matter how hard I tried. Throttle is much more linear, the tune overall is just very smooth, and off boost smoke is minimal.
And then I tried a few variations of a performance tune from Rob. From a 1st gear roll on, it will spin the tires a little bit going into second (48RE with stock turbo and fuel system). Smokes way less than TNT and power is just as linear as the tow tune. We tried a few different wastegate settings and at boost in the low 40s, EGTs would not go over 1300*. Timing is less than you would think. Boost levels are indicative of that. EGT reduction is courtesy of dumping the 3rd event completely. Oh, and you guys can throw those pressure boxes away. No more drained rails, power over 3k RPM, and you can actually see what is being changed and datalog if you have an issue. No need to spend hours on a dyno. And to think we're just scratching the surface here. I can't wait to see what the future holds.
