Edge Performance

Edge Performance
I have a 2004 Dodge 2500 Quad Cab with a 6.9 diesel. I'm thinking of having the edge with attitude installed mostly to improve fuel economy. I do pull a 31 ft Alumascape 5er but mostly use the truck as my everyday vehicle. My main question is if the install of the edge will improve fuel economy and by how much, and how likely it is to cause damage to the engine or tranny.

No damage will be done if you know how to use it. Dont be stupid and you will get many miles out of your truck. If you stay off the throttle boxes can give 1-3mpg. It will help your truck pull that trailer as well. It has very nice features and is a good box if you dont want analog gauges.

dap190,
MPG is there, but it varys widely by different users and different trucks. We have seen 0.5 to 4.0 MPG based on different custoemrs feedback on the Edge or any module/programmer. It really makes a difference how you drive, if you have an intake system and or exhaust system. More air flow really helps the modules/programmers be able to make MPG as the more air you get in the better the combustion and the better BTU use of the fuel you burned.

in MPG, i have the edge juice w/att. and it maybe gave me 1mpg. I am light on the go pedal also, going from memphis TN to Mobile AL (400 miles) my overhead read 21.3 and my hand calc was 22.4, this is also without very much inclines and so forth, its pretty flat down here. I also have a gen2 intake and straight threw exhaust.

Mark,
Of the 5 settings on the juice w/attitude which potentially would give the best mileage for everyday driving and which would give the lowest EGT`s when towing? Edge doesn`t tell us the different combinations of timing and duration so I was wondering if you could give us any info.
