Am I Understanding This Correctly?

Edge, Bullydog, Tst, Van Aken, Etc. Are All "boxes" And/or Companys That Produce "boxes"


What Exactly Does/do They Do?, How Does It Work?

 

There are boxes/modules and then there are programmers. Boxes and modules are signal processors and programmers reprogram memory in the ECU or computer. A signal processor intercepts a signal going to and from sensors, injectors to the PCM,ECU, etc. and modifies it according to what you are trying to achieve. Some do fuel pressure some do injector timing and pulse width some do boost fooling, etc. A programmer can change the same paramters but allow extra features sometimes like turning cooling fans on and off, reprogramming the speedo for different tire sizes, etc.
