Easy ?...how Do They Mount Tips On?

I JUST ORDERED A 4" - 5" x 15" weld on exhaust tip....curious how they install them....do they cut the stock pipe and then weld this new one on? If so, how much usually?

I think they slip on & then weld them together.

Yeah, they just slip it over the exesting pipe and either weld it or bolt it on...

Have your exhaust pipe cut then weld your new tip on after deciding the appropriate location of your choice.

I think it would look cheesey to see some of the OEM pipe visible where the interior of the tip is visible.

Just my $.02 worth though.............

yeah, plus if you cut it, you get the added sound from the tip. Otherwise it wouldn't sound any different.
