Dyno - Round 2

Ok, got the TNT put on my Smarty. Going back to the dyno in the morning. I hope that lower outside temp and TNT will put me over 600HP.

Well, I guess I've squeezed out all I'm going to get with what I have. I was hoping for 600 HP. The blue line was a couple of weeks ago with the Revo. The red line is today with the TNT.

Before:
SpeedTek
Haltom City, TX
DynoJet Dyno
Temp - 97 degrees
Revo SW9, TQ3, TIM3, RP Default, MP8 50%

Now:
SpeedTek
Haltom City, TX
DynoJet Dyno
Temp - 87 degrees
TNT SW9, TQ3, TIM2, RP 1, MP8 25%
WOT = Boost 40 psi, Rail Pressure 27K, EGT 14.5

I think you might be running out of fuel. Did your rail pressure hold the entire time? I can't help but wonder if you would have made more power on level 7 with the mp-8 cranked up more.

WOT = Boost 40 psi, Rail Pressure 27K, EGT 14.5

RP stayed at 25 to 27 at WOT

The first run I made last time was on SW7 with MP-8 50%. HP was a bit lower. I don't remember the number, but it was lower.

um. . .maybe you are right. . .that's all she's got. All those #'s are great except I am not sure about your turbo psi.

I still think you are choking on the 65mm exhaust wheel.

Were the settings you listed in the original post the only ones you used with the tnt software?

With all you have done to the truck, I would bet you could squeze out some more power just by trying out more combinations with the tnt and mp8.

Everyone says that tnt usually runs better on sw7 than 9, but I would love to see somebody run their truck back to back just comparing the different tnt settings and sw numbers. Might be something I will do before summer is over, once the truck is put back together parts wise.

I would try to adjust the wastegate on that turbo. 40 psi is too low if you are shooting for 600 hp. Unless you already have adjusted it and there wasn't enough load on the dyno to spool it any further?

It would be interesting to see what the horse power difference would be if you could get the 65 wheel changed out to a 71.

I tend to agree with this, I would turn that turbo up to 45psi, that will help a little.

I also agree the 71 wheel will help, you're probably creating some high drive pressure.

A 71 wheel would spool slower though, right?

Just a suggestion, but with your Flux 1.8's, and the torque management set to 3, even with the Arson mod, I believe you may be taxing your CP3 too hard down low.

Your peak hp seems to be falling off just a bit too soon according to the chart. I know you said you were maintaining rail pressure... I would try again with the torque management on 1, then on 2, that will leave you more fuel up top and your hp should remain on a "positive" climb to 3000rpm, before beginning to slide downward, bet you get closer to 600!

EDIT: At WOT my rp gauge does not drop below 24K, but I am still draining my rail, I can hear it popping, it's not the valve, it's capped.

Jess
