Dyno Results, 2005 Ram w/Edge @ AFE

I dynoed my 2005 Ram 3500 with only 4,000 miles on it this weekend at the Mopars at the strip event in Las Vegas. This was on a DynoJet Dyno.
Truck currently has Edge Juce w/ Attitude and AFE Stage 2 turbo intake with ProGuard 7 filter. No other modifications were done.

Stock setting: 300.4 HP 576.9 ft/lbs
Level 1 Setting: 353.9 HP 654.9 ft/lbs -- Gain of + 53.5 HP 78.0 ft/lbs
Level 2 not tested (limited runs.)

Level 4 Setting: 419.7 HP 798.0 ft/lbs -- Gain of +119.3 HP 221.1 ft/lbs
Level 5 Setting: 439.4 HP 831.1 ft/lbs -- Gain of +139.0 HP 254.2 ft/lbs

You must have one hell of a strong "stock" truck. I dyno'd at 278whp bone stock.

The numbers they gave me were SAE corrected. I think the correction factor was 1.07? I am going to contact the dyno operator and have him E-mail me the dyno files. With the data files and the dynojet viewer you can display uncorrected power, and other options.

I thought the "stock" run was pretty strong also, but I did have the AFE intake on? I don't think it would have made a huge difference, but maybe it did?
On the Dyno, me EGT temp was not a problem, so it may have helped. Also, the dyno operator noticed that the truck did not produce alot of smoke, even on level 5

Those numbers are about 60HP higher at levels 3, 4 & 5 than my 04.5 600 put down. Didnt do other levels or get torque . Pretty impressive.

a SAE CF if 1.07 would explain it (7% x 400 = 28whp)

I've got my runs form a DynoJet and the WinPEP 7 software on the computer and my uncorrected is 13HP & 25TQ more then the SAE... although I don't know what the correction factor is or how to view/change it.

Also, that reminds me.., on my computer with the same settings (Uncorrected and Smoothing of 4) it says it's 328HP & 629TQ. But at the dyno place and on their printout it has me at 325HP & 635TQ. Make sense to anyone or as to which numbers would be right? Can I pick and choose to help me out the most?

Tough choice Bubba! Do you choose higher HP or higher TQ? I'd go with the higher numbers of both!

One thing that may alter the numbers that the dyno was showing versus what you are showing with the run viewer out your house is a difference in versions. If the shop is running an older version of WinPEP, and you're using a new version of the viewer, the numbers will be skewed a bit. If you are using the same versions, however, I have no clue what would cause a difference in numbers.

Ah crap I have no idea what version they're running... and I couldn't call down to ask them cause I know they wouldn't know how to look it up. Hell, I had to walk the guy through copying the files onto a disk for me. lol

Although, I think it's safe to say I have the newst version since I downloaded it only a couple days ago from DynoJet's website.

Good run!

Your truck is probably 20HP to 25HP stronger than most I've seen data on in stock form and at least the same on TQ. But then to get almost another 100HP practically out of lvl 3 on the Juice is a different deal altogether. Sounds like you got some kind of mutant Juice that is somewhere between the Juice everyone else has and the Juice HOT version. Quite the pull you had.

It's the correction factor of 7%. 7% doesn't seem like a lot, but when we're talking 300whp, that's 21whp extra.

I will have to check the software version displayed on the Attitude. I think it is Version 1.1 or 1.2?
I never dynoed the truck with the stock air filter, so I may be getting extra power from the AFE Stage 2 intake and Proguard 7 air filter?
