Dyno

What is the best gear to dyno it? iv done it a few different ways with different results.

I would try to keep it in direct if at all possible. Taking into account the gear train is one of the main factors for accurate results. it also depends on the type of dyno. Dynojets or the like only take about 5 seconds for a run, trying to spool is a problem. If you have a more load type dyno ie. Dynodynamics, Superflo, a nice long repeatable pull is what you would like to see.

depends on the dyno. yeah direct is more accurate, but i have had trouble getting enough load on some inertia dynojets, and have run 6th to get up to the same boost level i run on the street

I was able to get better #'s in 6th than 5th. Direct 1:1 is better for an accurate power distribution number, but I wasn't able to load the engine and build boost as good. Try it both ways and get back to us.
