Yes the factory unit is kind of small but it's better than nothing. My wife's conversion van has a 22" Flatscreen so anything I get will look tiny!! I picked up my factory setup very cheap from a member of another site. That's how I always shop...
Those In-dash setups are cool though. Having the portable units is great because they are cheap but if you hit the brakes hard they tip over. They also don't get very loud compared to the noise the truck makes...

Once again thanks for the help, I have been "surfing the web" tryin to find some good prices but I dont know where to look. I know little to nothing about indash DVD players, subs and amps I can handle but I am still kinda lost right now.
Anybody have anymore info on Dual?
The reason I have been lookin at crutchfield is cause they will tell me what fits and just to get a general idea of whats outhere, I doubt I will buy from them, right now ebay is lookin like my best bet.

This is the system. You cannot see it from the driver's seat though... It includes the install kit too which is not part of the price listed...

Hey Wap, If you are interested I have 2 "jensen vm9311ts" 7" touchsreen dvd/am/fm/ in dash brand new in the box. I live in Dallas, Ga don't know how close to Gay that is but at 500.00 and no tax it may be worth the trip. Go to the jensen website and check out the diff. between the vm93 and vm95 as I do not know the differences. PM me and let me know>>>

Do you want a flip out or a nice in dash unit.
Most flip out unit if seen seem cheap in quality and flimsey.
Since I dont have a double din I will have to get creative to make a double din indash unit work. If and when I do it I want it the way I want it and it will most likely be over 1K since I want a nice indash touch screen unit.
Have you thought about getting a generic 7" screen and place it where you want or even flip down visor monoter and then run an external DVD player or get a basic headunit that will play DVD's.
A good friend of mine did just that in his rockcrawler...yeah rockcrawler because he get bored when there's traffic on thre trail of someones broke. Most of us decide to drink but he doent drink so he just kicks back and watched a movie.
He just bought a $100 or so monoter and 2 flip down visor moneters off ebay for $70 eash and its a really trick set up and a cheaper option to spending alot more $$$ on a slick all in one unit.
I know pioneer makes some really nice units both flip out and dash mounted but I think they are alittle out of your price range.
Make sure you get an extended on hasstle warranty since it seems every dvd player I buy stops working in 1-2 years.
goodluck

I want an indash flip out, honestly to get what I want I may have to just go ahead and spend a grand and forget about it.
But as stated above I got some other things that are more important to me than the DVD that I would like to get right now but I thought for 600 I may go ahead and do it.
Once again thanks for the suggestions and I am still all ears, (well so to speak).
