Mine hasn't slipped.
Some say they are at 800hp and the converter holds it.

Mine is chump change at a little over 500 compared to some guys here...but I love my DTT Triple Disc TC! No slippage whatsoever. It puts the power to the ground.

There are alot of big HP guys running the Super Single with no problems. My trans builder tried to get me to go with one, but in the end....I just wanted what I perceived to be the best of everything in it. So triple it was.

I wouldn't worry about your TC. You should be fine.

DTT only offers the Super Single and the 3-Disk converter now. The lock-up piston for the T.C.C. is much larger in the S.S. than the one in the 3-Disk. More is not always better. Tim's truck is rocking though with that tripple disk!!!!

I spoke with Tim about his triple before I bought mine. He said it was the best converter he had ever driven. I was already leaning toward the triple anyway, but when Tim told me that.......it was a no brainer. Now that I have it........I agree.

I know fellas that run the single disk that are draging with 650 to 800 hp trucks. That says a lot for single disk converters. Ive got a single in my truck, modified HTS, and so far everything else is taking a beating before the converter.

I have notice when i put the pedal hard when the converter is locked the rpm raise about 2-300 rpm on the engine for a second or two and then it feels like the converter grip again. Is this normal? My friends fivestar ATS feels like a manual gear when his converter is locked.

That doesnt sound right...mine drops (lowers) 200 rpm on lockup...and lugs/pulls like a manual gear....this is driving normally, not WOT.
