The lights on these things really stink... both high and low beams. I'm going to do both and then some... add a brite box or equivalent, new bulbs, AND some good driving lights on their own circuit so that they are on when I want them to be! That ought to do it!

I'm shocked at how bad the factory headlights are. It seems in this day and age, that would be the easy part of building a car. I think two mag-lights duct-taped to the hood would be better than what these trucks come with from the factory.

The light are much better when the truck is loaded. I think they set the lights so they would be in the right position when loaded and not running empty. You may want to adjust your lights up if you don't plan on running loaded much

I'm putting a set of KC Daylighter (385,000 candle power and 150 watts each!) on next month. These really light the road!

Wife and I find the headlights just fine.Really find all these NEAT NEW headlights coming at you a pain in the EYES.I can see as far in front and both sides of the road just fine stock. Was told a BRIGHT box won't work on 03 up.I BLAST lots of autos with all four of mine cause they about BLIND me with these silver and blue tints and too darn much candle power for on coming traffic.Wish the FEDS or whoever would crack down on this.I also think MANY headlights are not AIMED worth a darn.Maybe too high.I'm only trying to see whats in fron of me on the road.NOT light up a LANDING STRIP.I do remember the days before HALOGEN sealed beams.Still managed to see where I was going.WE thought the headlights on our 03 was more then enough.

I'm looking into a couple of relays that will keep the low beams on when you activate the high beams. Same concept as a brite box, but a lot cheaper. The low slung BMW's already flash me with just my low beams, so like Hounddog mentions I don't intend to light up a landing strip.

Days off, sweatin' in South Texas!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey dogger,
Let us know if you come up with something that keeps the two beams on simultaneously. I would be interested in doing this to mine as well... the brite box is bit pricey...

They high beam positive to the main lights could trigger a relay that was powered directly from battery and spliced into the positive of the fogs to power the fogs when the brites are activated...but they would always have to be on when the brites are...

I had the bright boxes on mine for awhile they worked great until one melted down. Then I switched to Piaa Plat.Super whites I was happy with them but they aren't as good as the bright boxes(Too bad they didn't last) I just had one Piaa burn out after six months. So now I'm going to try Sylvania Silverstars. They have a rating of 4000k vs. Piaa's of 3800k and about half the price.Has anybody tried both yet to compare ?

I use PIAA driving lights. There's no comparison between them and high beams. All of the light is focused ahead of you in a narrow aperture. You cans see hundreds of feet ahead of you on a straight highway. This can be a hinderence though if you're following a vehicle even several hundred yards away.

I think SuperGewl is right.

I adjusted mine up 3 complete turns on the adjustment screw and tried it out noticed a minor improvment, then i adjusted them up 3 more and now they seem decent.

They will do until I get to add some driving lights.

Have you tried to adjust them inward towards each other yet. I noticed mine to be kind of spread out to much especially the drivers side ? I going to mess with mine this weekend.

I only adjusted them up, I noticed they do fan the light out quite a bit but I think that is controlled by the back reflector and the lense.
Wouldn't hurt to try though you can always move them back if you don't like it.
