Looking for a front driveshaft for a 04 ram used or new.Dealer says not available.

 

Do you have your old one? These folks have rebuilt a couple for me. They do good work and are reasonable.

The old one's broke at the flange that mounts to the transfer case.Several driveline shops in the area say its not available.

 

Check your local wreck yards best place to find parts at a good price

 

gotta watch those front driveshafts with the wifey behind the wheel and a sled behind the truck

 

Are they out of stock or out of production?

 

I had no trouble getting a new front driveshaft for my 2004.5 about 6 months back. I think they are feeding you line.
Mine only ran $217 (end to end complete with joints)shipped to my door....www.mopar4less.com

 

List price 257 bucks and 4 in stock in Chicago PDC.

 

That makes a lot more sense!

They have one in stock! May be a special order part for a customer, but maybe they know a trick to get you one! Seems there are plenty out there. The locater I have shows 32 dealers with that part available and 47 with the old part number available! OLD part number is (52105990AB) .It is a superceded part and actual lists at 284. FWIW !
