Drag raced the truck this weekend

Well, I finally got to 1/4 mile race my truck to see what it would do in 100% stock form (except for a drop in air filter). It went 15.66 at just under 85 MPH. I left in 4 wheel drive with the boost up and then shifted out of 4 wheel after the truck got rolling. It did a 2.20 60 foot. I was very happy with its overall performance considering it is all stock and weighs 7000 pounds.

That is good, do not change the 4wd to 2wd racing though. It WILL NOT disengage untill after the 1/4...

Nice times....but seen a little high for STOCK....I went last weekend and ran a best of 15.1 with SMARTY on SW#3 leaving with a 5-7psi 4wd boosted launch. Anyways nice to see others out there willing to throw down a $35K truck at the track....

That's a good time for your 04.5 with stock fueling.

Was this at Pacific Raceway? I was out there in my white 2001. There were two other CTD trucks one ran 15.?? the other 17.?? a red pwrstrk 15.6 @ 85.
I ran 14.20 @ 95.7 ,1.96 60" with a 10# launch and the little lady along for the ride.

No, it wasn't at Pacific Raceway. It did go a little quicker then I would have expected it to. A guy I know has almost the same truck and his in stock form went 16.0, looks like I got a good running one

That is awesome for a stock truck. Best I ran was a 15.3.... But that handshaker 6- speed was killing me. Couldn't keep the boost up, and I am sure the 35s weren't helping. Put it in perspective my 02 Powerstroke with the 7.3 took a 100 HP chip to run a 15.6... Of course now with the BTS trans I'd like to run again and see how it does....
