Dodge leaf spring U-bolt ?

I got a Skyjacker lift for my 2003 DRW 3500 with 4" diameter axle tubes. I need longer U-bolts for the rear leaf springs. The original U-bolts I pulled off are 1/2 X 11 I need something at least 1" longer. I went to the local parts stores and nobody has a 1/2 X 4 X 12 U-bolt. I called up Skyjacker and the cutomer rep said that all the Dodge trucks that they did had 5/8 u-bolts. I did not realize it would be this hard to source correct size U-bolts. Can anyone that has a truck with the HD axle with 4" axle tubes let me know the size of their factory U-bolts? I would like to know if I have the only Dodge truck with 1/2" bolts or are the parts guys not up to date. Does anyone know of a source I can get the correct size U-bolts from over the internet? Thanks

If there is a heavy duty duty (as in for tractor trailers) parts store in your area, try them. They should be able to get them for you if they aren't set up to make them there.

check with the local 4x4 shops and see if they have any, or if they have a place they go to to get them made.

mine are the same

1/2 fine thread
4" ID
~13" long

those are the dimensions of the new ones I need to put on the truck. Came with my new springs.

think you need to specify that you have the 11.5 AAM rear end. they are prob thinking you have a lighter duty truck

Went to all the shops around here, heavy equipment, auto (napa etc) no one has the right size. No one around here can make any that I would use for this application. Thanks for responding, at least I know I was right about the size. I did tell the guy at Skyjacker it was for the HD axle W/4" tubes and he said that they only sell 5/8 X 4 X 12 for this kit. I will probably order these and file out the holes in the plate to take the 5/8 U-bolt.

Thanks guys, I'll try those places. The link for lorenz isn't giving me a suspension place but I'll Google it. I live about 6000 miles west of California on a little piece of the USA called Guam, which is why things are a little harder to source for me. I appreciate your help

I just checked and mine are for sure 5/8" diameter and a 3.5" axle tube. But my truck is a 2500, not sure if that makes a diff as I think they use the same AAM axles for 3500, unless it is a dually 3500, that may be a 4". I guess check to be sure. Good luck.

Mine are 1/2" too. I just planned to use larger bolts. Seems too small for a truck of this size.
