DMH electric exhaust cutout

I'm about to go ahead and purchase an electric cutout. I'd love to have a straightpiped truck, just not ALL the time!

Looking for any last minute rec's on install advice, wiring the on/off switch, or different companies that make a similar product

I'll be sure to post pics when it's installed.

Quick Time Performance Electric Exhaust Cut-Outs, thats what i have an love them. i got the electric contoller mounted in the dash and i think everyone should have one. They are amazing and most importantly it makes the truck as loud as a SEMI.

It is very easy to install the wiring. Some people go to the cig lighter, I just went straight to the battery. When you run the wires under the truck just be sure that they are up out of the way of the heat. And when you have the Y welded in do a test fit to be sure that there is going to be enough room between the frame and the cutout itself to mount. You wont be dissapointed that is the same one i had on my other truck. Oh and besure not to hold the switch longer than 3 secs.

I would put it in front of the cat. But any where you want to it will work. You can get an extra flange from dmh shipped with your order and just weld on a turn down, or whatever your liking.

Allways_Lost - what do you mean, do not hold the switch for more than 3 seconds. I figured it was like a light switch (on or off)....???

DMH cut outs are not "off/on".
The longer you hold it the farther it opens. Hold it to long at the full open or closed position and you risk burning up the motor.

Exactly Kinda like a window switch.

I timed it 1001,1002,1003 and that ws fully oper with very minimal overlap.

covering the underside of my truck was a concern of mine as well....for those of you who've had cutouts, how did that aspect of it go for you.
