Not trying to be critical...but why did you add all of "other" tube? A straight shaft works fine for linear compression between two pinned joints. Suckers must be heavy...

If I had to take a guess, I would say he did it to try and match the Rize bracketry. Depending on the wall thickness of the tubing, I bet they are heavy! Looks good!

Ok I'll try to answer all.I made them 85" from hiem to hiem. The square stock is only 8th thick so the extra was not that much heavier. The ends I got from three point hitch from tractor supply store and cut about four inches off and welded them into the square stock.I started with a staight bar and then added the extra just for looks and helps me pre load them as they spin all the way around. After I made the staight bars then went 6" from back 10" up and 2ft from the front with two inserts.after I had to trim the top of the left side to clear the fuel tank so it would spin all the way around. The ends were made from 1/4" steel I first made out of card board then traced to metal and welded together.

How's the suspension going to compress? The bars are fixed at both ends. Or, am I missing something? In our 4x4 club, a few guys have anti-wrap bars w/ an old leaf spring shackle mounted to the frame end to allow flex. The axle end is a two (top and bottom) point connection.
