Thumbs up DIY / Homemade Projects - Reference List

Ok, I've been having the bug on doing a project, so I figured while I was searching, I'd list some here. These are projects I'm finding on DTR that have lists of parts and images (for the most part). I'm trying to keep it to ones you can read, then go DO! So if you have some, list them here so we can spread the love while some peoples pocket books are tight, and need for speed is high!

Famous ****** Whistler Intake
~ $85

Homemade 4" intake
~ $95

Homemade Crankcase Vent Breather Tube

~ $??

Homemade Intake Horn
~ $??

Homemade Intake Horn 2
~ $50

Homemade LP Gas Mod
~ $100

Homemade Propane System
~ $175

Homemade Torque Tube
~ $50

Hey man,
I jus did my own pressure coolant relief valve for my truck for around 68 bucks. I tested it and it dropped my engine temp from 235-240 down to 210 at the end of my sled runs. I studied the opie kit and wicked kit...read a bunch and made mine out of 3/4 heater hose and a ball valve. Of course it isnt as pretty and I have to turn it on and off manually but I saved close to 300 bucks and it works perfectly taking heat and pressure away from #5 and #6. Advance has a neat little T setup that works where you put the water back into uper radiator hose. No pics but very easy to make.

To lighten the front end and to make room for the grand-daddy-of-all air filters, I moved the batteries to the back. I built batt. boxes and bolted them to the outsides of the frame, just behind the cab and made new cables with 2-0 welding cable. Craig

yes, the whistle is louder. For a real loud whistle, follow ****** instructions exactly. I went down to a 4" cause I didn't want it too loud, and I'm REAALllLLLLL happy

did the ****** whistler intake and wow amazing sound...need to make a heatshield and for some reason my intake does not sit as far forward as your guys's so i might order the 6" 45degree elbow so the new amsoil filter sits in the stock spot
