I put a mag-hytech rear diff cover on and it would hit the spare tire, what have you all been doing to keep it from hitting? I lowred the spare and pulled it back and drove for awhile but it went back and hit cover lowred it again this time I tightened the crap out of the spare hanger but have not drove it yet last time I had someone tighten it while I was under the truck maybe he just dident tighten that much, any ideas? Thanks for any info

 

Mine doesn`t hit and I did nothing special. Are you long or short bed? I have the long bed. Kevin

 

I have a long bed but my truck is 2x4 not 4x4 (2WD)

 

Mine dosent hit either, and mine is a short box 4x4, wonder if it is a 2x4 thing

Yep, it's a 2wd issue. I did the measurements before and it appears with the MagHytec there's a interference issue with the spare tire.
So I went with the PML and it clears, not by much though.

I have PMLs on both diffs, since the Mag-Hytechs seem to have much more interference/fit issues - at a higher price.
