Diablosport Predator

I used the search feature, and read for hours, but I didn't see any posts where anyone dyno'd an 06 or 07 5.9L truck with just the above tuner on it. I read some reports of high EGTs in the higher settings, and idle lope, but no dyno numbers. I have an opportunity to pick one of these up cheap locally.

Can anyone give me numbers?

You might have to go to the forums on the DS site to read upon the 07s. I had the pred/puck/quad BF on my 03 for 5 yrs. and liked it but I know nothing about the 07s. The only reason I changed was to get better driveability (in city) on the high tunes. EGT wasn't a problem with a bigger turbo and 4". Craig

Suppoed to be a max of 185/280 set on kill, 160/230 on high and down from there to 60/120 or something on tow. I read some not so great things about their customer service and the quality of their tunes though, so we'll see.

I have the thing in my hands now, but it needs updating. I got a cable on ebay for $4.00 (instead of the $40 Diablosport wants = ripoff). So when that comes, I'll update the tuner, install the tuning and see what it does.

I run the Diablosport Predastor on my 07 and like it for the most part. I usually run in Tow mode and get anywhere from 17-23 mpg (depending on how much i'm in the thorttle). When on the higher settings my clutch tends to slip a little but the difference in power is night and day. As far as idle lope i don't really notice a big difference.

DS customer service sucks! They can't get into a technical conversation at all. It sounds like the end result (tq and hp) is about the same as it did for mine. Have you tried loading a tune? Updates are easy to do. Will you need a boost fooler? My 7130 didn't do that so I used the Quad BF. I never ran less than 100hp. Driveability was great - slightly more throttle response then stock and it was the perfect tow tune, for my truck/mods. I tried every canned and custom tune (including the stacks with my Puck) and anything over 100 had WAY too crazy throttle response for a daily driver. I loved the power and egt was OK but I couldn't keep it clean on the bottom end - around town and shifting. That's the biggest reason I switched to the TST. I hope yours has a more civil throttle if you run the higher tunes. I still think the Predator is probably the most bang for the buck. BTW, I couldn't find your thread on cumminsforum. I liked their forum and I'll start using it more. Craig
