Diablo Sports powerpuck & predator users RU HAppy with them?
Just what the title says. Are you happy with Diablo Sports customer service? Someone pointed out that I can get a predator and a powerpuck for $380. I wasn't planning on getting a programmer at all but at that price Why NOT? I had excellent customer service from EDGE on my 03. They had replaced the box twice and upgraded it once. Never had a warranty issue with the EDGE because I just pulled it off before I went to the ******* (Please don't flame me about ethics)! So, I guess I am worried about loosing my warranty especially being as I have the Plastic IC. I probably won't use the programmer until after my warranty is over but I will have it for when I want it!
I am seriously considering getting the Diablo Sports stack for my 05.
I also have some questions about them:
1. Does the Predator erase key cycles?
2. Will Predator give me the VIN problem I have seen some people have?
3. Have you had warranty issues since you have had the Predator?
PS I am really hating this site, You guys are making me part with all my money! Hell, I even have to go update my sig to include the AEM BF!

I wish someone would chime in here! My discover card is SCREAMING to be used and that $380 for both is killing me.
At least on my truck I can hide the mods, My wife would notice everything I was putting on motorcycle! She finally said NO MORE once she got pregnant. I really miss the motorcycle forums but they are like CRACK and the language is a lot harsher than here!
Wait I have been on this danged laptop since the KC game started with 3 tabs open in FF.
Here, and 2 other CTD sites! I like shiny and noisy things! I have no control when they are shiny and noisy!

IT will definitely put out
I put my stack in a couplle of days ago and wow. It was so stout it started to slip the clutch at about 85. The only thing I don't like is the puck seems to make the throttle hang about a second after i let out of the gas. Makes for different driving on a straight but oh well. Just cut the puck off for normal driving and click it on to pour to the local dirtymaxes. Can't tell about fuel milage but if you run on extreme u probably don't care. Hope this helps

Predator Only
When I've had the occasion to erase codes, the codes go away (except the skim code thingy).
I am not aware of any VIN issues with my Predator.
Warranty issues with the Predator or with the CTD? I had #1 stick quit working at 97.5k miles, about 5k miles after I installed the Predator, and I restored the original programming. Dealer replaced the dead stick under warrantee.
The longer you stay, the more you hate the site. Its a love/hate relationship, dude. Besides, money is ment to be spent, just ask your SO.

There was just a thread about that stack on an 05 and the guy had problems with it. I think it was determined that Diablo didn't have the Pred/Puck stack for an 05 yet and the guy was using the wrong year stuff. Craig

Diablo had not come out with the stack for the 05 or 06 yet when that guy got his.

i have the puck and downloader. i LOVE them. on extreme and the puck turned up the truck is a rocket. i can't get traction at wot. the smoke is huge at low boost. the puck by it's self is better than my old edge ez beacuse the power band is much more smooth. on tow mode the stack is sort of boreing but extreme is great. no problems so far but it is hard to get use to the rpm staying high at redline while i shift. if you buy the stack and are going to run it on extreme save up for the clutch now. i am running the southbend con fe and it holds it great but the stock clutch will shread.

I thought with the stack you could only use the "stack" program in the Predator and then you have the two settings on the Puck to choose from. Is that how it works? High is 200/400 but I don't know what hp/tq the low setting is. Diablo can't even tell me! I'd like to have something between the 100 and extreme programs of the Predator. I think the low stack setting might be it. Craig

the stack program has two settings tow and extreme and the puck has two settings. the extreme is +200 hp the tow setting i have no idea of what power it puts out. as for the egt and boost readings... i can hit well above 1300 but that is with a stock turborunning around 30 psi so if you have a phat shaft or twins there will be no problems. all i can say for the tow mode is it is much more calm and you can tell the the program is set upto keep egt's down.
