Denver, lifted truck avail?
Denver, lifted truck avail?
I am in tne Denver area and do not know anyone with a lifted 3rd gen Ram. Anyone in the area have a 4" - 6" lift on their truck mind getting together so I can check a few things out on the truck as well as see the ride quality?
I am on the fence about lifting my truck. I am not new to the 4x4 industry or lifted vehicles (I customize suspensions for jeeps and Yota's mainly - http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a74...J/f30eafee.jpg. I have not ridden in a lifted 3rd gen so I am unsure of the handling or ride characteristics for this truck.
Thanks.
Justin

I take it your Tuff Country lift is the short arms? New rear springs or blocks? Did you put an anti-wrap bar in the rear?
I have heard multiple takes on the lift, from great ride to shatty ride. Hence the request to actually ride in a lifted rig.

IMHO...long arms are not needed with only 4.5" of lift. The ride is great...same as stock...cause the springs are stock! Jounce is controlled by Bilsteen 5100's which are far superior to OEM or other big box lift kit shocks.
I have not needed ladder bars...have minimal spring wrap. But I will have a 3rd member mounted above the driveline "ladder" or anti wrap bar soon...I just have to remember to order my joints...LOL.

If you call bolted steel spacers pucks...then yes.
Go to their website or www.suspensionconnection.com to see the components.
This is not a "race" level quality kit, but works excellent for those who work their truck. 100k of highway, city, drags, hauls, hunting, camping, climbing, pulling...etc.

Yes...they are centered in a similar fashion as the OEM perch. The height of a coil spring spacer does not matter within reason...they are only in compression...no side load. I have 100k with no alignment issues (only aligned once at 10k when I installed the lift), balljoints, suspension breakage or failure, poor tire wear, squeaks, etc. It has served and is still serving it's purpose well. No sag...and a plush ride. I may be up for some new shocks soon...maybe brake pads too....but everything else is still kicking butt.
