According to most of the posts on this site, DC dealers are glad to sell the CTD below invoice,if GMC matches the ctd in price they will sell a lot of trucks and I'll probably be one of them.

I think the employee discount thing is just another ploy to get you in, and I bet if you have a trade in you are in trouble.
I am to understand that GM started this because of all of the zero% financing for the last few years on so many different cars for very long terms, I believe they were going as long as 60 months.
Now GM realizes that not many people are going to give up their zero% financing to trade up vehicles every few years, therefore GM had to come up with a new sales scheme.
Example: My Brother Jim, bought a Chevy 1500 gasser new in 2000, for 34,000$
He prices a truck with the same options (loaded) this year, and was quoted by the same dealer 32,750$, that is with the employee discount, something smells fishy.
My best friend bought a new chevy gasser in Redding CA, for 23,400, granted it wasn't loaded to the hilt, but it was still a nice truck (for a chevy).
I think GM is getting a little nervous, I think in my opinion that they are trying to bring sales back up, and all their years of selling over priced pickups has come back to bite them, and I think Ford is next, THIS IS JUST MY OPINION.
