You could do a search on this as it has been covered many times. A lot has been said.
The hole saw goes in on the front side of the wheel and centers itself. It drops into a recess. The actual cutting is only about half of the thicknes of the wheel, the rest is alread just over 4 3/4"
Use a hole hog type right angle drill and let the weight of the drill drive the saw. Hold on so it won't catch. Then sand the hole and to clean it up with a 2" drum sander on a high speed drill motor. Make sure the hole clears the center hub on the axle easily.
Enjoy the wheels.

The hole saw will want to jump out of the hole until you have a good groove going. You really need a drill with the side handle and hold that thing tight!! Then you will have to cut it out some more with a grinding burr....
I went to the hardware store and spent 30 buck for a cutting bit designed for aluminum. I put itin my die grinder and went to town. I think other people have used the same type bit with a router. I just took off a little bit at a time until they cleared the fronts. It probably took me 2 HRS total to do 8 rims.

I did a set for a friend using a hole saw and a big drill press. Turned out very nice. I did another set using a router and a cutting bit. They turned out very nice too. My neighbor did a set using his roto zip. My wheels were done at a machine shop, only because at that time I could not find a hole saw or the cutting bit anywhere.
Truck DOES ride better with the wheels and larger tires.
