Cool shop in SoCal installed my AD150, very happy
For 3 weekends I was waiting to get access to a bud's shop, and it just did not work out. So I had Big power diesel do it (bigpowerdiesel.com). He is a total Dodge guy. I sent him the thread by 53Willys (thanx again 53Willys). He studied the thread and did everything just like I like it (took the bed off, used the Vulcan straw & gauge elbow, did the electrical, made the tank vent mod work with the extra parts and a trip to the fitting store). He says he did take one photo he will send me, so I will post. I can take some photos of the finished produce and add them too. My gauge stays between like 14 and 18psi I think (I mounted the Westach FP gauge low next to the shifter boot). He originally said about $300. I told him that since I did not buy it from him to go ahead & make it $350 (I never want people to feel comfortable working on my truck). He had to go get some brass fittings & hose to make the vent tank mod work (w/o buying a tank vent mod kit). It ended up being $390 total.
FYI
ps - I was watching one of the mechanics to a cam swap on a members twin turbo Cummins (a very fast truck I have ridden' in, but I don't want to mention his name w/o permission). After seeing that, there is no way in heck I will try that one myself.

It is mounted on the left inner frame-rail, kind of close to the t-case. I did ask for a quote for ARP 12mm studs & 4k valve springs, he said about $1500 for everything. After I get a turbo, that is what I will do. I was afraid to ask on a cam job.

Hahaha. I do the same thing. I buy all of my performance parts online or thru a local jobber place and then have them installed other places. Whatever they quote me I up it as well. Its only another $30 or $50 bucks but I have NEVER EVER had a problem with work other people have done. And they seem to fit me in, and work faster, than without doing it. I like it!
Yeah. He was really cool about it. He said he can usually get pretty close to e-bay prices. If I ever save for the springs & studs (got to get a turbo savings going first), I will just get it all from him.
