Cool blue hose and scotty?
Cool blue hose and scotty?
Hey guys. With the great help of dtr member smokindog, we managed to get the super b on my truck last night. However, due to the size of my KORE shock tower, we were unable to clock the turbo far enough over to clear the black tubing of the factory air intake, that mates with the scotty. It's touching on the intercooler pipe and heat shield of the exhaust manifold. In any case, I know those boost tubes/torque tubes are much thinner than the factory setup - so I was wondering if anyone had tried this setup and if it works..?
Will the tube affect the boost I'm making or the turbo's performance? Much louder?
Thanks guys, I need to come up with a solution quickly..

I know that several folks have opted for the Cool Blue hose with different aftermarket turbos but I have not seen the results...and have not heard any negative feedback either.
The Cool Blue does need to be trimmed for the Scotty you have. It might be a bit different with your application but I think it will work fine.

The Cool Hose should solve the fit problem and like Scotty said you can trim the filter and turbo ends for the best fit. The Cool hose will be louder than the stock intake tube by itself, but a TAG-III can be used with it to quiet the sound and improve turbo performance. If you have questions, give us a call and we can tell you more about these items.
