converter question

Anyone heard about losing low end torque after removing converter? Supposedly theres not enuff back pressure.

i have never heard of that. I think i gained because of the amount of slip i had going.

I think he meant the cat, not the TC.

I didn't notice a difference.

My wife was just reading this thread and didn't get the humor in it. "I guess you have to be a truck person" I guess so. By the way all I noticed was a louder exhaust note.

I barely even noticed a louder exhaust noise on mine

I didnt notice any power changes either way (better or worse) I did however notice that it smells like a diesel again

I did notice a bit better fuel mileage with the cat and the Volant intake though (towing got about .5 MPG increase) not as much as I had hoped for though.
