Conflict between Jake brake and Tranny???
Hey Gent's,
Been lurking on this site for months now and been enjoying you're knowledge and humour, so, I'm finally jumping in.
I've been making some mods based on what I've learned from you guys.
I started with a Jake brake installed by Dodge-Sweet!
I then went to a cat back and Ram air system from Banks.
Then I got the Quad xzt.
And here is where I need ya, I installed a BD valve body and torque converter.
The day I picked up the truck from the tranny guy I noticed the Jake brake wasn't up to snuff.
It wasn't as loud as it used to be and the braking horse power was cut down by a third.
I took it to Dodge and they say there is nothing wrong with it.
Could ther be a problem because of the valve body and BD torque converter?
Is the stock ECM having trouble with the new shift points and Jake brake?
What Da ya think?
