cold white smoke?
ok guys i have an issue an need help figuring it out.....i have a 2007 5.9 when i start my truck in the morning it starts fine but it smokes white and sometimes it kinda gets rough but as soon as i start driving it it clears up and runs fine this only happens when the truck sits for an hour or longer what could this be? I've heard my injectors might be going out ive heard i might have a gasket out what could this be has anyone else had this problem it was time to change my filter so i figured that might be the problem but it didnt clear it up i also dumped some lucas injector cleaner in it an still runs the same thanks guys!!!!

Are you losing any antifreze ? A blown head gasket, or crack will cause a white smoke (actually steam) but appears smoke...Could be yours is so minor as soon as the engine heats up enough it seals itself off and stops smoking, then sits, cools off and does it again.....and although there are water injectors for HP diesel applications, the antifreeze in it could be the cause of the rough running.....anyway, an idea.......I have seen it several times, and had it in my own once, although it "steamed" constant and didnt go away....?

Yeah this all started after my first comp pull too, so im hoping its a gasket and not the new injectors!!! could it be a clogged injector? maybe a bad programmer? maybe a 0-ring blew on one of the cyl? scratching my head here! thank you for the reply!

My truck did the same identical thing. I put my programmer to stock, still smoked after sitting. Pulled it completely out and the problem went away. Pull all aftermarket electronics and try again.

Actually the day after the pull I noticed a little puddle of antifreeze under my truck I looked underneath to try an find where it was coming from and I couldn't find anything but it smells like diesel but has a strange smell to it, but that was only the day after the pull hasnt puddled since
