I am planning on installing a set of the chrome skinny fender flares that you see on alot of trucks, the dealer here sells them.
The question I have is, do you have to relocate your Cummins emblem, and how tough is it to do.
I am sure this has been brought up before, but some have told me you don't have to move it, and some have told me you do, please set me straight.

Are those flares or just chrome trim? I saw a truck with them and it looked like he had to cut around his "HEMI" emblem. I guess it depends which brand you choose. By the way, I didn't particularly care for the look. This guy also had the chrome door handles plus some other accessories and it was just too much....

 

It is the chrome trim, not full flares, sorry.

 

The emblem is stuck on with double sided tape. Use a hair dryer, don't let the wife know, put it on high and heat up the emblem while lifting up on the emblem with a knife or anything you can get under the edge. It comes off pretty easy. It takes longer to get the sticky stuff off the paint than the emblem itself.

Thanks for the info, do you usually have to remove the emblem to put these trim pieces on?

 

The ones you are getting might not need the emblem removed, I don't know. My flares are much larger and I had to remove the emblem.
