I'd go black. But then again, I've never been big into lots of shiny chrome or alluminum accessories on trucks.

Something to think about with these steps when I got mine I got some that were closer to the body and I know how they are hard to hit with your foot sometimes and not as big but the reason was this:
My dog getting out of the truck like most almost slides out of the truck and one time she caught her foot between the truck and the bar only to tear the crap out of her leg and if you like your dog like I like mine you know what I felt like. It was my fault for putting them on the truck and not even a few week later one ot the familys kids did the same thing getting in the truck it hurt a lot but turned out to be ok. The ones I got on the new truck don't stick out much like the old ones and I NEVER let kids or dogs get in or out without help anymore. Just something for you to think of and please be carefull, who would of thought something to help us old farts would hurt the little ones you love the most.

Jon

That sure is something to think about, I have five dogs that will riding in the truck everyday for work. Hummm.............
When I drive the old Chevy with running boards they use them to get in and out.

Is there a differance between Nerf bars and steps? I like the ones that are like the rock crawler trucks run,Tight to the frame.I think the power wagon has them.I looked in the mopar acc. catalog and they did not list them for a Mega cab.

Just checked Ranch Hand and I thought the guy said 240 a pair (2). He left me a message so I will have to double check today. That seems a little high for 2, 4 would be alright. I can get the Westins from around 180 up to 240 or so.

The thing I've discovered about Ranch hand is a lot of times it seems like you're buying a name.

Ok...........I found my receipt for my Ranch Hand products dated 10-29-05.

I paid $795 for a "scratch and dent" Winch Ready LEGEND SERIES Front End Replacement. I think it normally retails for about $1100-1200. It had 2 small scratches on the top of the frame......which they buffed out and painted black. You would never know they were there.

The Side Steps were brand new....and not scratched in anyway. They were $137 for the pair or $274 for all 4.

I bargained in free installation and another 10 percent off of the total.............so I paid a total with tax for all of the products $1041.47. I sold a friend my stock front bumper for $200 that help off set that cost some more.

They are smoking crack if they are charging you $500 for a set of 4 steps. It should be about half that.

Hey Tex, thanks for the info. I will make some more calls Monday. If I can get them for that price I will probably go for it.
