Center console sub box

Has anyone tried a sub box that replaces the center seat under the arm rest? I found one on ebay that is offered in either 10" or 12". It looks like a pretty nice set up. I can't afford to lose my fold flat floor in the back and was wanting something different. What' kind of sound can I expect? I'm looking for good clear sound not lots of bass. I had a 10" in a ported box in my ranger with a Diamond Audio woofer that sounded great, but I was wondering if a 10 will be enough for the QC. Any help is appriciated. TIA.

Where are you guys buying them from?
Ive seen a few ads on ebay, but sometimes hit or miss, theyre not always on there...
Are there any companies that make the box to purchase direct?

I had one in my 97 Dodge. JL Audio makes one that is an exact lower seat replacement that the factory cushion/upholstery slips over. It wailed!

Where do you guys mount your amps at? Is it easy to tap into the stock radio? I have the 6disc Am/FM in my 05

check my pics out i have two 12in kickers in the back under the seat as you can see I built my box but yeah you can get them on ebay as well Thats where i got the idea. As far as amp just put under the driver seat. i removed my driver seat when hooking everything up VERY nice and easy that way. Also yeah you can use your factory stero just need to go get a rca convertor and you will probably want to hook that up after the sound is coming from the factory amp which is under the passenger side dash that will give you the better sound.

I just carefuly cut an MDF plate that fits in the top of the center storage, there is a lip there to stop it from dropping all the way. If you get the size just right the friction will keep it very tight. I put an 8" Clarion there and it's just right with 100 watts and the factory Infinti system. Cheap too!

Would a 10 be enough to sound good in the quad cab or should I go with a 12? I have the basic AM/FM CD four speaker system so I don't think I have to worry about the factory amp for the RCA converter. Is it an easy install or should I let someone else do it? I really don't want to be behind the radio messing with wires and screw something up.
