Those hand held ones work ok for just talking w/ people you're traveling w/. The shack has a good Cobra hand held.

The 25 does not have the built in SWR meter. It has an instant channel 9 switch.

The General Lee does not have an SWR meter either; just power.

Has anyone had any trouble with your cb interferring any electronics? My cb will make my truck de-fuel via the outlook monitor, and the commander when I had that installed.I have a Galaxy dx 95T.

Oh had mine make my truck stumble, talks over siruis, talks over other people radios, make my ac fan slow down. Nature of the beast rf bleed is bad on most any good 11 meter or 10 meter export radio. Chokes don't help.

Right I can't use my outlook and the cb at the same time.It dead keys at about 45 watts, even with the rf gain all the way down.

Yeh my set up dead keys 1 1/2 watts swing to 25 then kick toaster and she dead keys 100 swings 250 yeh I can talk over neibor tvs. But the new X2 box is not affected by my radio not sure with toaster on too afraid. W/ toaster it would turn truck w/old quad std mod.
If your doing truck to truck traveling get something simple and priced right and you'll be good not huge fan of the tiny cobra 75 hand held thing had one on a truck and it sucked.

no rf related issues here with the general lee (sold to camo) new dx95-t2 on its way. but i dont anticipate any issues..
most rf issues are ether ant rigt next to ecm, or bad coax.
i like double shielded coax with the foil in it. no rf leaks....

well my 95t2 showed up today, its installed, swr on an external meter shows 1.2 on the a band and 1.15 on the h band, 1.1 on ch 20 e band. i guess its got a good match, power turned up dead keas 55w, swings over 200 pep.

oh, and not a single issue with the truck, gauges, sterio or any thing else...

its all about the install, its all about the details, its all about the 102"
and not all the problems associated with a mag mount...
im a happy camper... iout to go check the skip!
