cut it all off it will not throw any codes and it sound good with it straight pipe.

I have a weird piece cut out in mine, the cats there but something else was or is missing?? I have a section of pipe about a footlong with a clamp on each end in-between the cat and muffler??

So what.........? You cut the cat off and let the exhaust come straight out the head pipe? I see you don't have the stock muffler though because without the cat and keeping the stock muffler there's no drone AND 50 deg. unloaded on flat ground is quite a bit AND the exhaust WILL smell like a diesel AND that cat/Magnaflow isn't helping you as much as a no-cat/stock muffler does. But hey, to each his own!

Shucks........I wasn't trying to argue just trying to understand how the the two of us could have such different impressions of the same thing. 'Course I am half-deaf and my smeller is jaded !

 

I am deaf in my left ear too.
A friend lost his on his 05, pure stright exhaust, its stupid loud.
Towing at lower RPMs makes the drone so bad I wanted to ride in the trailer.

 

i took off my stock muffler and cat and put a 4" pipe w/inline bullet style muffler it does have some sound but i like it

 

i forgot to add no codes shown running 3 months

 

the drone does get very old. I tried to put an mbrp muffler on my 5" system because I was tired of it.

 

Drone is like white noise to me when im hauling long it almost puts me to sleep...lol
