Capped Rail ?

Currently running the TNT , MP-8 with an Arson II kit, I want to be able to turn up the pressure once in awhile. Have heard that may be a problem with the pressure relief valve, is there any reason I should not get a rail plug? I do have a rail gauge and dont plan on exceeding 26k on the rail. Should I stick with the valve or plug it?

I don't see a reason not to plug it if you are going to monitor the RP, or you could just buy the plug and keep it in the truck in case you ever do blow the relief valve. Its a simple 2 minute install that will prevent you from being stranded on the side off the road.

Well, TnT wont go to 26k (that i've seen at least)...so if you use the MP8 Wisely and monitor, you should be good to go....

I plan on Flux 1's, Capping the rail and an MP8...so get-r-done and let us know how it's working!

I just pull off mine and tapped it then put a plug in it with loctite. Do a search on here for it or look up everything that i've posted/responded to.

Capped rail

I've been running a capped rail for 4 years with NO problems. Also it will raise your rail pressure by about 2k from stock. I could see you have a problem with the setup you have if you push the limit so I would definitely recommend going capped. The rv valve is a red flag item if warranty is an issue for you so IMO it's best to pull your rv valve and cap it since you're not going to blow a cap.

Read my post, I already had a plug (set screw). 1/4'' used the same tap I used for tapping the egt probe.

It does NOT change any thread pitch, there are no threads INSIDE a bolt, on the outside yes.

Go to my name and drop it down, you'll see 'find all posts by me'. Go to page #4 and close to bottom of page you'll see where I already asked about rail capping. It's covered on what you'll need to do AND it doesn't mess anything up, you can just as easily pull the cap out.

It's not like I'm irritated on my postings, nor do I intend on irritating/offending anyone. I guess some don't take advantage on all the tools this forum has to offer, yes it can get frustrating on how you word it, but it goes off on how it was worded from the original posting. If I remember who posted something, I drop their name down and do some searching through their posts, sometimes it pops in my head on how it was worded and when I can't find it, I'll post a new thread like this one (1st-very beginning). Then hopefully someone will help me, like I'm trying to help.

I'm doing this to try and help others to find the tools, when I posted earlier to do a search under my name, all someone had to do was take the time to do it, go through all my posts until you found something about rp. Then read it, it took me a few mins. to scroll through.

Again, I don't intend on offending anyone, just trying to help.
