Since the
torx screw is stripped now. Use a cut off wheel in a grinder and make it a flat blade screw. Then get an impact driver, got nothing to loose now if you want it off. Not sure how an easy out is going to help you. There for screws/bolts that are broke off inside with no head. There is types of sockets that you can drive onto the outside of the bolt. Havent seen ones yet that go that small for those torx screws. Abit of heat could help, like what plumbers use, small torch. Just be carefully, or take the CP3 off the engine and work on it on a bench instead bent over the truck. Good luck

I believe the theroy, just not too sure how much I want to put a torch near my high pressure fuel pump. Maybe if it was out of the truck. I ain't knockin or flamin ya, just not too comfortable for me...
Yeah, I would use one of those little butane torches and heat the screw heads then let them cool. You wont blow the pump up but "could" damage O-rings if you got it too hot, but thats why you use the little butane torch. It would take a week to get it hot enough.
If you got one of these and got a t-25 bit to fit it, it would come right off. Just make sure you have it turned the right way before you hit it.

They do come in handy for a lot of things once you have one. More that likely you will need a 3/8-1/4 adapter to fit whatever t-25 bit you buy.

This is just another notch on the belt of "I beat the Hat".....LOL... Sorry to hear about your issues. Let me know if you need any help.
I would cut the heads off the dang things. Remove the FCA then remove the carnage left behind....

This is what I was talking about...As long as you got room to get a drill in there...They should work sweet.

I really don't want to do that... I dunno... I might look at that if I don't have it by this weekend...
Man.... I really wouldnt put any heat on that pump, there are too many o-rings, seals, and different metals there to warp/burn. I cant see the pictures but if the torx is gone, I would grind it into a flat head style and use a hand impact driver to get it out.
Here is one in Snap On...

Yeah, when I get a minute, I'm gonna try to get a dremel in there and put a flathead notch in it. Didn't get to it last night.
I tried to get a pair of vice grips on the exposed one, no love.
The inside one is twisting bits, like the picture shows. I'm gonna hit it with a small punch straight on, and from the top and bottom and see what that does. I'll probably have to wait till Friday night...

OK... I WON!!!
I took a small piece of flat bar (it was the only thing long enough and thin enough... it was a chain link fence bar...) and tapped (bludgoned) the last two bolts... they popped right out! Easy cheasy! I did find out that the screw holes into the CP3 go all the way through the housing, so you can get some lube in there. (after I got the bolts off...
!) Everything else was a snap.
Not a hard thing to do if you know the tricks to doing it...
mad
