Take a hammer and a punch (flat ended) hit the head of the screw, it should unload it enough to get it out, also some small vise grips might break them loose.

You just need to heat up the screw a bit with a torch to soften the locking compound on the threads. It'll come right out after.

Havent seen ones yet that go that small for those torx screws. Abit of heat could help, like what plumbers use, small torch. Just be carefully, or take the CP3 off the engine and work on it on a bench instead bent over the truck. Good luck
I was going to try that, but I don't think I have enough room in there... I really don't want to take the CP3 out...

I'm gonna try that tonight. I can never get more than 2 hours to work on some crap at one time... always something.

Their is no thread locker on the screws, they corrode and seize up, the steel to aluminum deal happening. New CP3's have stainless screws, guess Bosch learned their lesson.

Yeah, I would use one of those little butane torches and heat the screw heads then let them cool. You wont blow the pump up but "could" damage O-rings if you got it too hot, but thats why you use the little butane torch. It would take a week to get it hot enough.

If you got one of these and got a t-25 bit to fit it, it would come right off. Just make sure you have it turned the right way before you hit it.

They do come in handy for a lot of things once you have one. More that likely you will need a 3/8-1/4 adapter to fit whatever t-25 bit you buy.

This is just another notch on the belt of "I beat the Hat".....LOL... Sorry to hear about your issues. Let me know if you need any help.

I would cut the heads off the dang things. Remove the FCA then remove the carnage left behind....

This is what I was talking about...As long as you got room to get a drill in there...They should work sweet.

Man, this thing is bad without a programmer on it now... I'm really impressed with the injectors and the turbo... can't wait to get the edge back on...

Man.... I really wouldnt put any heat on that pump, there are too many o-rings, seals, and different metals there to warp/burn. I cant see the pictures but if the torx is gone, I would grind it into a flat head style and use a hand impact driver to get it out.

Here is one in Snap On...

Yeah, when I get a minute, I'm gonna try to get a dremel in there and put a flathead notch in it. Didn't get to it last night.

I tried to get a pair of vice grips on the exposed one, no love.

The inside one is twisting bits, like the picture shows. I'm gonna hit it with a small punch straight on, and from the top and bottom and see what that does. I'll probably have to wait till Friday night...

OK... I WON!!!

I took a small piece of flat bar (it was the only thing long enough and thin enough... it was a chain link fence bar...) and tapped (bludgoned) the last two bolts... they popped right out! Easy cheasy! I did find out that the screw holes into the CP3 go all the way through the housing, so you can get some lube in there. (after I got the bolts off... !) Everything else was a snap.

Not a hard thing to do if you know the tricks to doing it...
