did you get it from the mads site?

You have to first download the smartyUSB drivers, then download the program file, then unzip it, then transfer it to the smarty via the updater program.

If you have vitsa, let it find all the drivers. if not you have to get them from the mads website.

Yeah. I finally got it updated. What a PITA. Took all of 40 minutes too. But I like it. Downloaded it into the truck this morning, & gave 'er a short test run @ lunch. Still some smoke down low if I get on it "some". If I hit it hard It lights my turbo, & no smoke at all that I can see in the mirrors. Now, I just have to avoid the temtation to get a new cp-3, & stack something with it. I'm a bad boy...

40 minutes! Thats it. Took me 4 days to figure it out.Thought I was going to have to sign up for a computer class at the local community college to figure it out.

Thats how long it took me to download the program. It took me an hour, & a half to figure out how to do it!
I may be interested in a beta. But I want the smoke as low as I can, & I run pretty heavy a bunch. I don't like to draw a lot of attention to myself, if ya' know what I mean. I also haven't figured out what that warning about going back is all about.

Getting everything set up for downloads reminded me how computer illiterate I am.

From the way I understand it if you go to the latest 4.11 you can't go back to an older file unless you have an 06 or newer. With that said,I have been able to go back to the beta4.4 after downloading the 4.11.So my truck(05) is either special or I didn't read all the threads about going back correctly

If I can't go back to the original software, thats fine. I've got an aftermarket trans, & turbo, etc. so I'll never need to go back. I am wondering if I'll get even lower low end smoke if I go to the stock TQM 4.11 file. Right now it's allright, but there is a time when I get on it "some", but not enough to realy light this turbo, it smokes more than I'd like, but not real bad. If I accelerate "normal" it doesn't smoke at all, & if I get on it hard, when the turbo lights, it doesn't smoke at all either. It's just in between.

All the 4.11 files have way less smoke than the previous files.Stock TM I would think would have the least.I have never ran it though.
