Can't decide on exhaust manifold

Okay I am goin to break down and get a CFM+ intake but can't decide on exhaust manifold. I would like some opinions, and some feed back on this header I found at fabshopheaders.com. I know they are pricey but they just look strong.

Do the extra work and install a late 2nd gen manifold. It sounds a lot better, I wish I had.

I have the CFM manifold and I am happy with it, I have had it on for about 60,000 miles and no issues at all. I just put on a ATS 2 piece exhaust manifold
and I like it. Well made. NOTE: The one I received needed tweeking to make it fit (Length) I would suggest that before you attempt any part of the install to line up all of the holes exactly from the new to the old. (New manifold length can be adjusted with small pry bar or wedge). Then place on the head and bolt it up.

Does it make it sound more like a 2nd gen?? I wouldn't trade off my 3rd gen for one........but the 2nd gen 24valves just sound awesome, imo.

Glocklove..

That manifold looks sweet! Looks like it would have to flow well and provide a long life..
If you do go with that manifold please update how it works as I would be interested in the results..

it does make the truck sound like a 2nd gen. I had to custom make the air intake, cut the intercooler pipe, lengthen the turbo oil drain and finally you have to use a hx-40 downpipe or I made a 5" downpipe to keep my system 5". My silver bullet SCREAMS now

Those look like very nice manifolds on that website! The $599 price or $725 (ceramic coated) is really not all that bad....

I think that all the ATS, BD, etc manifolds are basically all the same and will be a very nice upgrade over the stock manifold.

I bought my ATS 2pc Pulse Flow used, for only $285 shipped. I dropped it off at the local powdercoating shop and they are currently coating it with a silver high temp ceramic finish for $130

I really like those listed on that website, and I would personally look into them alot more, if I did not already have the ATS manifold.

Just comes down to how much do you want to spend, or how nice you want it to look.....

On a lot of the headers, people are losing low-end power. A friend of ours bought one and installed it. On back to back dyno test, he almost lost 100 hp under the curve but gained 7 peak. You are better off just going with a 2 piece manifold like PDI or something like that.

Thanks guys, I still have not made my choice yet, the guy that builds the fab shop headers says there are for street and strip, he would not suggest using them for pulling comp's said they can't handle the big turbos hangin from the headers.
