but if you insist edge juice over banks hands down !

 

Love my Edge Juice - lots of bang for your buck. Just as safe as Banks with more features and more power. $100 Hot unlock and an EZ or small sticks will give plenty of power if its not enough by itself. I 2nd the remark on the lift pump - although that is going to be true with any product once you hit a certain power level.

 

I had the Banks Power PDA on my truck. Worked great for mild performance/towing. Great display. Very safe and reliable. I would have kept it but wanted extreme power. I was told the Banks can be stacked with a Smarty with pretty good results. You get the Smarty power and the Banks display (expensive if you just want the banks display for gauges!). You can add some stacked power by setting the Banks to a higher setting when using the Smarty, but you can only go so far before you are causing too much timing, et cetera.

Banks is great for mild performance and towing! Nothing more.

Too bad Smarty isn't adjustable like the Banks or Edge. On-the-fly baby!

I'll never get rid of my smarty, though. Not even for push button on-the-fly power adjustment. You can't beat it.

 

If your truck is an 06 or less ...Get a TST and control everything including cool down....all the rest are just toys....I've read enough posts on here where half the people swear by edge and the rest swear at them....hearing a lot of reliability and accuracy issues. Fill out your signature ....we don't have a clue what you have and the early J/A have pressure ....the later ones don't...ks

 

I respect the fact that the TST is capable of more than the Juice. However, there are way more of the reliability issues you mentioned with the TST than the Juice if you read enough posts. As far as the truck - yes knowing more about it would help point him in the right direction overall, but as far as answering his question of Banks or Edge, I don't think we need to know anything about his truck.

 

Sorry it took so long to get back on here, I went out of town. It looks like im leaning towards the edge now (Sucks because I already bought the PDA) just incase later I want to add injectors or something. What about adding injectors to the Banks, I know I asked about other upgrades with the banks on my opening post, but I got no replies about that. Also how do the two make power...are they both pressure boxes, or timing? Thanks for the help and sorry I didnt update my sig earlier.

 

I do like the turbo timer on the Edge as well.

 

Banks is pressure + timing. Banks pressure doesn't really start to take effect until 2K+ rpm. If you just want the nice safe "it is what it is" power then Banks is fine and it is safe. It has too many safties to be useful above a certain amount of power. No sense in adding stix to it.

 

Edge all the way. Great customer service and the Hot upgrade is impressive

 

I used 90 HP DDP nozzles with my Banks Power PDA. It worked great. I had a 62/12-65 high tech turbo with it too. All worked great.

Then I wanted more power. Extreme power. Banks couldn't manage.

 

I had a Banks six gun once.....and that is all it took! Ya, wasnt so happy with the power. You really dont get what is advertised power wise or safetly wise, but all in all I do think its safe. The safety features just do not work as advertised and the reason thats not a big deal is that its not really making all that much power.

I would 2nd the Quad over the Edge any day, and of course a Smarty Sr. or Jr. TST is a really good power adder, but I agree, Ive read many a post of problems happening with those. Quads just seems to be really easy...and you can buy a Quad Commander to add safety as in defueling and safety parameters. I run the Quad and the Smarty w/ a commander on board. I went with banks originally because it was safe, but there are safer ones out there.

 

I had a banks on my truck with the intercooler and all and once I put on the smarty I would never buy or sale banks again. I also ran the x2 from quad and I love it that is why I ended up getting that also. I have ran both of them together and alone and they are both much better than banks especially because the banks is so expensive for such little power. The quad has all kind of safety stuff built in if you get the commander with it. You can set warnings and defuel limits. I dont mean to bash banks and all but I spent a lot on banks and then got to try the others and was blown away by what I was missing and was mad at the money I spent on banks when I could have just got a smarty or quad in the first place. I wish I would have heard of this sight when I first bought something for my truck.

 

Edge ALL THE WAY! I dont have any experience with Banks but I can tell you I have a TST sitting in a box that I really don't care for. The Edge is user friendly, has awesome guages and many extra things, cool down timer, high limits, etc. I always hated having to press a button on the TST to get the truck to shut off if I didn't want to wait for the cool down timer, unlike the Edge, just tap the brake.
