Question Can the Smarty...

Disable the INSANELY ANNOYING seat belt "chime"? I know some (like the Bully Dog I believe) can, but wasn't sure if the Smarty could and if so, how?

You can actually get rid of it on your own!??! You mean an american car manufacturer would let you commit such modification!!!

Wow I wish I would have known anout that before I spent time fabbing up a stainless peice to go in my seatbelt the day after I bought it.

So I suppose now your gonna tell me that you can also disable the auto locks on these at 15mph without going to the dealer. I hope.

Dwiggs look in your manual. What you do is turn the key on and put the seltbelt on and what for the seat belt light to go off. Then real fast you take the selt belt off and on three times that should disable it. Then turn the key off.

I guess I still want the metal peice I made so that I can kill the dummy light though. Atleast my door locks dont lock automatically now.

One of the first things I did to mine was get rid of the auto 15 mph lock thing, get rid of the seat belt minder, and get rid of the horn honking when I lock the doors, now it just flashes the lights.

All in the owners manual.

Funny how guys spend hundreds of hours reading and posting here, but never look at the owners manual.

not trying to scavenge off of this thread, but can you turn off the annoying dinging when the key is in the ignition and the doors are open? because I can't deal with it...and I like listening to music when I'm cleaning her out.

Turn it to assessory? Or does an 06 keep on dinging? My 99 quits.

Drop all the windows and turn the key to accessory. That's what I do.
