can pushlok hose be clamped?

i was wondering if pushlock hose could be clamped? the reason im wondering is because i have normal brass fittings that have barbed ends i was just wondering if the ends on the push lok fittings are special for the hose, or can you just push the hose onto the brass fittings and clamp it for extra precaution? thanks

No need to clamp...ever. They are Chinese Handcuffs! A clamp usually won't hurt...but it can cut the hose up more.

If you use the good band clamps they won't cut the hose, I have used them before

clamps are definately not needed. Once it is pushed on it doesn't come off. my fass came with pushlock hose, no clamps here and it has been on the truck for 4+ years.

Yes pushlocks are different, dont ask me how technically, but its a pretty simple test, try not using one with a regular barb and see how much it leaks(usually does quite a bit if you dont have a clamp on it)

Right, I had to legthen my AD return line when I moved it from my filler neck to the canister, used a regular barbed fitting with hose clamps.
