can anyone answer this one

just wired up a smoke switch on my 06 today, and when i push the switch instead of it telling the monitor on the edge w/ attitude that the boost is 0 it actually set the high boost alarm off which i have set at 45psi, it does not throw any codes and does smoke pretty well, is this normal with the edge on the 4 wire map sensors. i used wires c and d to make up the connection, any suggestions or has anyone heard of this before

Sounds like it's all done correctly. When you engage the switch, you're basically telling the ECM you're are full boost so that it delivers more fuel (thus more smoke).

The Edge is seeing this reading and triggering your high boost alarm since it thinks the boost pressure is above 45psi.
