Can a 03 ecm be put on a 04.5 to get rid of 3rd pulse?

I can't answer that question, but the Smarty SSR is out, I think it can, and if not, EFI Live is coming out for the newer trucks now, but will be out for ours later, and they will be able to turn off the injector pulses off.

EFI Live is a very in depth programmer. It will let you control just about every engine function. You can manipulate functions that other programmers can't. You can make custom maps, but be forewarned. You better know what your doing before you jump off the deep end with that.

thanx, then im good and why get rid of edge? lol wqhen i TOTALLY unhook and remove my edge my egts are still 1000-1100 towing and i can still get my truck up to 1250-1400 egt unloaded empty without it. its the nature of the beast(3rd stage inj event)

I could be wrong now that it's out... I know when it was coming out, and Bob Wagner had a huge thread going on CompD, or wherever he hangs out at that's not here, there was talk of it eliminating that third pulse.

Currently, I believe EFI Live is only for the 6.7's. I don't think they have a product yet for the 5.9's.
To elminate the 3rd event buld your engine, transmission, etc, to make power in the lower rpm's and keep the driven rpm's under 2500 is the only way to eliminate it.
