Will a camper shell from a 2ndgen short bed fit a 3rd gen short bed??

I had a 2nd gen LB cap on my 03. Side to side and front to back was pretty close (not perfect) but the front of the cap sat a bit low compared to the cab of the truck. I didn't like it...
