bully dog problems

had a power pup in my truck for a couple months now. Run around town on performance, tow on tow. I decided it was time for some gauges. Long story short, I bought an outlook from the classifieds here. Plugged it in today. seems simple... idiot light on dash lit up(emisions) and truck had codesp0069 and p0602. Unpluged, retried, same result. Called Bully dog, and after some discussion they determined my PP to be bad. How can this be? the PP was working fine before this.
I then put the truck back to stock, and left the Outlok hooked up. very dead pedal feel, would not make over 15lbs boost(on outlook) Ran like a dog. Still same codes.
Unhooked outlook, put truck in tow setting, cleared codes. truck ran fine, no codes. What the hell?

Outlook Monitor

I bought a Bully dog downloader this past summer, later on I added a Outlook Monitor. I had same problems, my engine malfunction light would come on, sometimes right away sometimes it'd take a few miles. wasn't til I unhooked my monitor and changed from 90 hp setting to something different that light went out. bully dog says my monitor was bad, sent me another one, it was a little different, hooked it up , turn the key on and it wouldn't even power up. both times my EGT probe wan't yet installed. I don't know if that makes any difference, didn't want to drill and tap a hole in my exhaust when the monitor won't even power up. Bully dog is going to send me one more, if it doesn't work properly their going to give me a refund. I think it's a good product if it'd just work right.

In my 2 conversations with them today, they say my PP is outdated? It worked fine without the outlook.
I think i'm going Analog!

now when they said outdated did they mean to work with the power pup? are there some sw version of the power pup that don't interface with the outlook? can you sendit to them to flash it to make it up to date?

seems like there customer support is lacking a bit if they can't give you clear solution.

35, I'd call them up, and get permission to send the Outlook and the PP back to them, and have them update/reload/verify both of them.

they usually charge a bit, BUT, they add all the newest tweaks and things they have learned in development, so it's worth it.

read my BD thread, my biggest problem was not getting my problem to thier attention soon enough.

they WILL fix your problem.

I agree with contacting them and getting the item to them for a reflash or update. They are great at taking care of our customers, but if they do not know about something they cant take care of it.

Stay after them and it will get resolved.
