Ordered my gauges last night. Want to run stock with the gauges a while to see where my norms are. Mostly use truck to tow 5th wheel with. I want some extra power for the hills & passing. 5th weighs 11850 lb & that puts my GCVW @19820lbs. So I've been thinking about the Edge E-Z or Bully Dogs Triple Dog or Power pup. Bully Dog sounds like it is the easier of the two to hook up. Anyone running one of these for towing what do you think? Advantage & disadvantages.

 

ive got triple dog and pulled my 36ft cattle trailer loaded on performance and gave great power.

i am running a power pup on a 05 dodge on the 90 hp setting it has good power and smokes a decent amount hopes this helps

im runnin the juice a2 setup and really like it
never had a downloader on the truck but have heard they deliver good performance also
i have heard the downloader can be traced in the trucks computer though..If that makes a difference to you.................(warranty stuff)
The I pretty much went with the juice for the fact I knew there was a larger sized company behind it I could go to if anything was wrong. I have sent it back once for a reflash and it was returned promptly. so i have only good things to say about it

 

why dont you get the best of both worlds and stack the edge j/a with the bully dog power pup. thats what i got and i love it. PLENTY of SMOKE and i still have the stock clutch and turbo but plan on upgrading the clutch soon but its your call. they are both good companys from what i think and hear. just dont get a banks!!!

 

you need to watch your profanity. using the b word you can get in trouble. lol!! i'd go with the edge myself. had good luck with it on my 01 and so has some of my smoke pourin companions.

 

I am running the Edge J/A. I pull 24' cattle trailers, horse trailers, and flat bed equipment/trailers. On level 2 it does great. I have never had another box to compair it with, but I am pleased with the performance of the Edge so far.

 

What did you achieve in mpg changes (towing & empty) with the Edge J/A? I have a 01 4x4 3500 DRW and have put 4"exhaust w/magnaflow muffler. I want to put some more hp/torgue but am not sure what to go with. I want to mpg to increase also. Some say I really need to put gauges on the truck if I want to make changes. Doesn't the "attitude" provide all of that information? How much work is it to install the Edge w/ attitude? Thanks much. Dondi
